World Heritage Quedlinburg
The World Heritage Quedlinburg exudes a very special flair. With the winding streets, the cobblestone streets and the historic buildings you feel transported directly into the Middle Ages. During their forays through the city, visitors can admire more than 2,000 half-timbered buildings and follow the structural development over eight centuries of half-timbered architecture. Because of this unique, medieval city center Quedlinburg 1994 was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list of cultural assets worthy of protection. Particular emphasis is given to the extraordinary importance of the Wipertikirche, the Münzenberg and the Schlossberg ensemble. Culture is lived in the World Heritage City of Quedlinburg. When residents and visitors are carried away by the rhythms of different genres throughout the year, you can feel the love of music in every alley. No matter you are a fan of classical music, gospel singing, rock and pop music or Irish folklore, there is something for every taste.
